Mercedes-Benz is Stepping up Electric Propulsion for Maybach, AMG, and G-Class

Mercedes-Benz has seen its sales for its sub-brands skyrocket in recent years. Sales of the AMG brand dramatically increased by nearly seven times from 2011 to 2019—17,000 units to 113,000 units. During the same period, sales of the G-Class increased by five times—6,000 units in 2011 to 32,000 units in 2019. The Maybach has also seen its sales increase even after the brand was scrapped and incorporated as a sub-brand into the Mercedes-Benz range. It’s sales increased from 9,000 units in 2015 to 12,000 units in 2019.
