History Lesson: When Mercedes-Benz Could Resume Production after WWII

From shares being sold for reparations to destruction of industry plants set up in invaded land, Daimler-Benz was not exempt from the consequences that Germany faced after the war.
What Happened After the War?
However, with actions like the reprisal of once-banned Otto Hoppe (he had married a Jewish woman) and their part in acknowledging the harm caused, the company has since redeemed itself.
More importantly, it took 6 full years for operational facilities to become completely functional in 1951.

The restructuring of Germany meant that it was a great time to get into business, which was manifested in low inflation rates and high industry growth. Daimler-Benz sales were in billions by 1954, a mere 3 years after the company became functional again.
